Noah has been watching her mom light the Shabbat candles for a while now and has been dreading to try it herself. This week, her mom told here that it was her turn! Noah's face lit up, she was ecstatic! Noah carefully lit each candle one by one and then waved her hands over the flames while covering her eyes just like her mom had taught her. Then together they said the blessing. Afterwards, Noah peeked trough her small fingers and looked at the flickering light of the candles. She felt a special kind of peace fill the room around her.
