Tu B'shvat

Tu B'shvat also known as the new year for trees, is a jewish holiday that celebrates the trees birthdays and nature's birthday! On this day, people plant trees, eat dried fruit, and reflect on the importance of nature. This is a time to appreciate the gift of nature and ot also think about how we can better take care of the earth and nature!

Tree Stump

Story Time!

Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a little boy named Ryan who loved sitting under a big old tree. The tree gave him shade on hot days, and every fall it would drop these delicious fruits for him to eat and enjoy! One day the tree whispered to Ryan, "I give you my fruit and my shade, but what will you do to help me grow?" Ryan thought about this and decided that from now on, on Tu B'shvat, he will plant new trees in honor of taking care of the environment and growing the tree population! Years after the first Tu B'shevat, the forest was filed with so much more life and trees that Ryan's tree friend thanked him from giving him so many more friends! Ryan realized that just like the tree has given him so much, it was his turn to finally give back to the tree and to nature!
